“Releasing Boldness” –  Women of Prayer United

Do you ever just feel blown away by what God has done? Well, I am truly experiencing that as I reminisce over our 7th Annual Prayer Celebration held inArkadelphia, AR at Blakelytown Event Venue on March 4-5, 2022. Blakelytown is a western town that was recently built right here in Arkadelphia. We were so blessed by the unique setting that is nestled in the woods with historic architecture and a beautiful meeting hall. (Mark your calendars because we have already booked it for our 8th Annual Prayer Celebration March 3-4, 2023!)  God did it again as we all came together to celebrate what He has done, is doing and will do through Women of Prayer United!!

The Prayer Celebration’s theme was Releasing Boldness in our lives, and we  kicked it off on Friday night with Judy Jacobs singing “Hear the Roar”.   She brought heaven to us in such a  powerful way, and I have received so many wonderful comments about how women could feel the spirit of the Lord through her! It was amazing as she sang and spoke words of encouragement to our hearts.

Saturday morning Judy sang again, and we also got to hear a little from her husband, Pastor Jamie Tuttle.  He had a very powerful prophecy for WOPU about God expanding our borders.  Since then, we now have an international group!  Hallelujah, God is so good!  David Barton  followed Judy and spoke on our founding fathers and the Faith foundation upon which America was formed. We were so blessed with his knowledge!

After lunch my daughter-in-law, Lindsey Perry, spoke, and I was so proud of her that my buttons were popping off! She did a wonderful job of bringing a younger perspective to us on prayer. Thank you,

Lindsey!  Cheryl Barton then spoke on her life and how prayer was always a part of her journey. It was hearing her story and about her life with David.  My mom, Hettie Lue Brooks, spoke then, and she nailed it on prayer. At 92 she is still going strong and can bring the word of God alive as she encourages us  not to give up on prayer. Thank you, mom!

Country singer, Roy Hale, from Malvern, AR brought his guitar and sang a couple of moving songs for us to close out the daytime program.  We loved having him join us in our celebration of prayer!   As we continued to talk about prayer, I spoke about making a commitment to the Lord, to begin to step out in boldness with our prayers. God can’t answer bold prayers if we don’t pray bold prayers!! We each had the opportunity to stamp, with a wax seal of a lion’s head image,  our declaration to the Lord. That was super fun and really meaningful.

After dinner, to end the night, we had an amazing time as we made a prayer tunnel and each woman walked through the tunnel as we all prayed for them. I anointed each one with oil and then gave them the anointing oil bottle in which they, in turn, anointed each other. It was such a powerful time! God healed sick bodies, brought breakthrough to the depressed, lifted tormenting spirits, healed broken hearts and on and on. It was awesome!  Thank you, Lord, for showing up in such a powerful way!!

The night ended with us all in a big circle doing a “rain dance” as we danced to Judy Jacobs’ song “Rain Dance”. It was so fun, and we surprised the ladies with having high school boys come in playing marching drums!! It was the icing on the cake!!

If you missed it, you Won’t want to miss next year’s Prayer Celebration!! We truly were honoring God for all His goodness and learning to step out in boldness.

A big shout out of thanks to the staff and all the men who served  helping out. I couldn’t do what God has called me to do if I didn’t have people who have willing hearts to serve the Lord. Thank you, to all!!

WHAT UP NEXT

Lots!! We are growing and expanding our staff. God is hand-picking women to be a part of His plan in moving WOPU forward. We have both local and remote volunteer positions available at this time, but we are praying in the money to offer paid positions at some point in the future. Hallelujah! God is on the move, and we are preparing for great growth in WOPU!  If you are interested in applying for one of the staff positions, please email me at missiekramer@yahoo.com, and I can send you a list of the positions available.

 JOINING WOPU

If you are interested in joining WOPU, it is simple and free! There are two ways to be a part of WOPU. If you don’t want to start a group but still want to be a part of WOPU, you are called a “WOPU Prayer Warrior”, praying over your city using the prayer calendar found on the website. Just let us know you are praying and give us your name and address so you will be placed on the mailing list, and we will send you the handbook. Or, if you want to start a group in your town (or already have a group established), you would be called a “WOPU Leader”.  Just use the prayer calendar found on the website, and let us know you want to become a leader; give us your address, and we will get you the handbook.

THE VISION

God spoke to me clearly in 2016 and said, “Through united prayer He would change the course of history and save the next generation.” Our part is to unite in prayer, praying over our cities! Say “Yes” to the Lord as He calls you to united prayer and just watch how He will use you!!

Blessings, Missie Brooks Kamer
